Gail Ross, Member of the Scottish Parliament for Caithness, Sutherland and Ross has commented on her recent visit to the new Wick Community Campus.
Speaking after her visit this week to the school, where she met with representatives of Hub, Morrisons and Highland Council, she said:
“The school is set to open to pupils after the Easter break and I just cant wait for them to see and be part of their new school!”
“The building and community wing are simply fantastic and I’m sure will be a wonderful place to learn, build friendships and create a new school community.”
“We all know there have been delays with the school, which is why I met with Steve Barron from Highland Council, Kevin Hewitt from Hub and Ronnie Bruce from Morrisons this week to discuss matters. The meeting was positive. Lessons have been learned and I’m happy that the Highland Council insisted on taking ownership of a building which was fit for purpose. The children and families of Wick deserve a first class facility, I’m confident now that is what they are getting”.
