Opening of the Nucleus

February 17, 2017

This week saw the opening of the new Nucleus building in Wick. This purpose built facility will hold the entire nuclear archive for the UK as well as the Caithness archive, which has outgrown it's home in the St Fergus library. The building is a unique design, with temperature controlled rooms, a specialised fire control system and is a great new addition to the local architecture. It has provided much needed local employment and all the staff I met are delighted to be working there. More information about the building is available by following the link.
